Most are employed near the oil fields, in places like Alaska, Saudi Arabia, etc. If you don't want to travel, pick a different field. .

I am sure there are some in New York but you would more likely end up in Houston, Tulsa, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles or some foreign location. Western New York state is a great place but there are a lot of other interesting locations around the US and the world. I know, I've been there. NOTE: You don't actually have to be near an oil or gas field to do petroleum engineering work. At one time my company had it headquarters in New York City and there were numerous petroleum engineering working there.

You have to have oil & gas fields in order to have Petroleum Engineering jobs and New York is far from all oil fields and most all natural gas fields. Also, the closest Petroleum Engineering university would be Penn State. There is a new natural gas play called the Marcellus Shale which extends from West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and up into New York. However, New York has shut down all drilling at this time as they study the "environmental impact" of any new drilling. This might be remedied by the time you graduate from college. In the end the Marcellus Shale will not likely sustain natural gas producing companies for long in New York and you would have to move elsewhere for work or pick another profession.

I'm not sure about OT's. In my experience, MT's and PT's have had to fill out a bunch of paperwork in order to practice in a new state. But I think this had more to do with insurance and liability issues. I did a quick search on Bing and found this website http://www.allalliedhealthschools.com/faqs/occupational-therapist.php

Can someone tell me how the Gray Line tours work for New York City

Can someone tell me how the Gray Line tours work for New York City?
I am interested in the Gray Line tours for New York City but am wondering how it works? Where do you get on and are you just free to get off? The website is not very informative. The 'All Loops Tour' says it is for 48 hours, can you do it in 24? How long does each tour last? If anyone can answer my questions that would be so awesome!

No, because there are investment bankers all over the country

No, there aren't. One reason you get paid I-banker money is to put up with, and be able to afford, living in NY, London, Tokyo, etc.

Investment bankers are like you know what, they are all over the place, Most major cities have large banks that have investment banking departments as well as some of the major brokerage firms. You may luck out, and find some smaller banks (or B/Ds) in the burbs that do a considerable amount of Investment banking. These are catering to the growing areas that they're in, or they too wanted to get out of the rush of the big cities. You can start checking with some of the big name banks in your area or the area you may like. There is a reference book called the "Securities Dealers of North America" (the red book), the book list broker/dealers in geograhical areas, take a look at your local library, Good luck on your search, if you want bad enough you can do it.
