no. there is no such thing Edit.. to clarify... You can get a NYC earned income tax credit that you file with your state. refer to link below HOWEVER my first answer is correct there is NOT a seperate tax filing for the city you file it with your state taxes.

Yes if you also live there - check your W-2 to see if they withheld NYCity tax.

The NYC income tax now extends to anyone living or working in the city. It's a "commuter tax" if you live outside of the city and the city income tax if you live and work there.
