What is the best city in New york to work?
I just want to do something else move to another state and get a job and the first state that came to mind is new york, but i know its big and i dont know what is the best city for me to find a job that will pay enough so i can live by myself, i would be moving there alone and of course i dont know anyone there.

I don't know if this is the right place financially or job-wise, but Buffalo might be a cute place to go :) I've always thought it was an interesting city. Not humongous like NYC, but a nice medium-sized city. Good luck! Good for you for wanting to do something different. That's awesome :)

All I know is that Mike Bloomberg is bad news. Won't ever vote for the likes of that little dictator.

I don't find anything specific to NYC. It's a state court matter. New York state has no specific law on the subject, but the courts can still rule on whether or not a minor is emancipated. The PDF file referenced below in my sources tells all that I know on the subject.

Once the court declares you emancipated, you are on your own. Your parents do not have to provide you with one penny. Do not expect to collect welfare because NYC closed that loophole years ago.
