I live in New York, can i work in New Jersey as an EMT

I live in New York, can i work in New Jersey as an EMT? I am a Certified EMT-B in Brooklyn, New York. I will be moving to New Jersey soon an would like to know if i would be able to work in New Jersey with my Regular certification or do i have to take the national registry? There is an address on your license that you would be able to write and question. It probably has a telephone number also. You could also question the local rescue squad where you work. They would be most helpful.
