how can an international teacher get a job in a NYC High School. Does anyone know how to go about getting certified as a NYC teacher. Thanks

Probably go to your local government and see if they can help you. You need to be certified in that state.

I think also they can only hire you if no US teachers go for the job . You will also need a green card to allow you to work in USA. It really isn't that easy. My niece, who is married to an American and lives in California - and has two degrees- is working as a receptionist, as she has found it extremely difficult to break into US market.
